I would have to start off with, their simplicity, yet complexity.
Simplistic in a sense that their lives seem to revolve around food, safety and breeding.
The complexity is how they survive in what is a huge world around them, with threats from every direction.
There are those that whirl about the branches and leaves, seemingly oblivious to the world around them.
High up, out of reach of most everything else and in a perpetual motion.
Then there are the ones that are foraging several trees away, and dart away at the first sound of a leaf crackling beneath our feet. Of course, there’s always those in between that are well aware of your presence, and maintain a safe distance.
Birds, are such a delight to watch, and although we always have our ‘favorites’ most of us find pleasure in merely having the opportunity to be in this world with them.
