Baby Bottle Gift Box

Did you know that…
In the past, tradition called for someone completely outside the family of the expectant mother to host the baby shower.
However, it is now considered acceptable for a mother or sister to hold the baby shower and send out invitations, etc. It is not considered good manners for the mother to throw her own baby shower.
While the mother-to-be can certainly have a say in certain things, and the hostess will get the guest list from her, the party is for her so it shouldn’t be given by her.
A good time for the shower is 2-3 months before the due date or after the baby is born.
Everyone wants to bring the cutest, newest and most sensational gift of the baby shower - and there’s nothing like creating the perfect homemade present that the family will be glad to have for a long time.

June 01, International Children’s Day
I wish a very happy and joyful holiday to all children of the world!
Children’s Day is celebrated on various days in many places around the world, in particular to honor children.
The World Conference for the Well-being of Children in Geneva, Switzerland proclaimed June 1 to be International Children’s Day in 1925.
Traditionally kids receive very special attention from their family, including Birthday-like presents. All drivers are expected to drive with their lights on all day long to demonstrate extra vigilance over children’s safety.
Schools usually hold activities such as camping trips or free movies on Children’s Day to allow students to have fun, and children of civil servants might also receive small gifts from the government.
Many organizations from both government and commercial sectors have celebration activities for children. Children can enter zoos or ride buses for free.

Green Crocodile Box

The source for fully loving a child is found within each and every parent’s heart; it’s the capacity to love.
L is for Limit-setting. Whoever invented the word love knew that the first letter needed to stand for limit-setting. Good behavior just doesn’t happen. Appropriate behavior and the benefits of hard work—sticking with something until it’s done well—need to be learned through consistent limit-setting.
O is for Open Communication. Being understood builds self-worth. It means first listening to a child, especially during a conflict, and then putting the L into play—limit-setting. Yelling and consequences are not open communication.
V is for Valuing. At the center of love is the letter V for valuing and validating. Disciplining children effectively requires both V’s; they are as important as a child’s need for food. Value two things: what your child does right every day and the feelings a child has during a conflict.
E is for Empathy. Teaching your child to stand in another person’s shoes ensures less risk for physical health problems and develops kindness, compassion, and quality intimacy. It’s the lifeblood of enduring close relationships, the most gratifying life success your child can experience.

May 28, Pentecost Monday
Pentecost (Whitsunday) celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit in the form of flames to the followers of Jesus, as recorded in the New Testament. Jesus had told them to wait until the Spirit came to them.
Ten days after ascension, 50 days after the resurrection, the Spirit came.
In Gloucestershire, England, this holiday is often referred to as ‘Bread and Cheese Day’ because of a very strange custom that takes place on this day.
On Whit Monday, basketfuls of bread and cheese are thrown from a wall near the old castle, to be scrambled for in a lane below. The locals have been hurling bread and cheese since the 13th century.
After rolling three double Gloucester cheeses around the church, one is cut up and shared amongst bystanders and the other two are rolled down a steep hill.
Cheese rolling also takes place in other areas around England.
It’s the perfect occasion to make a Cheese Shaped Gift Box for family and friends.

May 27, Pentecost Sunday
After Easter Sunday, Christmas is the second-greatest feast in the Christian liturgical calendar, but Pentecost Sunday – also known as Whitsunday – is not far behind.
Coming 50 days after Easter and ten days after the Ascension of Our Lord, Pentecost marks the descent of the Holy Spirit on the apostles.
For that reason, it is often called the “the birthday of the Church.”
The English word “Pentecost” is a transliteration of the Greek word pentekostos, which means “fifty.” It comes from the ancient Christian expression pentekoste hemera, which means “fiftieth day.”
The symbols of Pentecost are those of the Holy Spirit and include flames, wind, and a dove.
Pentecost in the time of the Apostles was a great and grand harvest celebration. The streets were clogged with thousands of pilgrims who had come from every point of the compass to celebrate the goodness of God and the bringing in of the wheat harvest.
Make a nice present, celebrate this holy day with a pretty Pentecost Blessing Basket, make one, just like Angela Coles has created one:

DIY Baby Shower Gift
Posted on 25 May 2012 | Comments Off
In some countries, a baby shower is a way to celebrate the pending or recent birth of a child by presenting gifts to the parents at a party.
The term “shower” is often assumed to mean that the expectant mother is “showered” with gifts.
Traditionally, baby showers were given only for the family’s first child, and men, women, and children were invited. The original intent was for women to share wisdom and lessons on the art of becoming a mother.
Over time, it has become common to hold them for subsequent or adopted children. It is not uncommon for a parent to have more than one baby shower, such as one with friends and another with co-workers.

May 13, MOTHERS’ DAY
Happy Mothers’ Day!
To all those special Mothers out there, we celebrate you and thank you not just on Mothers’ Day, not just on Mothering Sunday, not just on Mother’s birthday, but on every day of the year!
When a person is in his/her childhood, his/her mom stands ahead of him/her to set an example.
As he/she grows up and becomes a teenager, she is always behind her little one, to lend support whenever he/she needs it.
Once he/she grows up to become a mature adult, the mother starts walking beside him/her, so that the two can be friends forever.
In short, a mother is always there for her child, at each and every stage of his/her life.
At some point of time in life, every child feels the need of saying thank you to his/her mother, for all what she has done. What better way to say thanks, than with a handmade gift and some nice poetry?
