2013 has arrived! HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I hope that everyone had a happy and safe New Year’s Eve and that no one is TOO hangover today.
New Year comes with a load of responsibilities… You have to make new goals that you won’t accomplish…
You have to vow to lose weight, when you know you won’t. You have to resolve to be a better person, although you will continue to get upset with the cashier at Wendy’s when your Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger has tomatoes on it when you specifically asked for NO TOMATOES, DAMMIT.
So, why don’t we all try to be a little more realistic in 2013 and pick some resolutions that we know we can follow through with.
For instance do something nice for someone, sometime during the year. Keep in mind the person could be you.
Make a nice homemade New Year gift for your family members or friends that will keep them smiling throughout the entire year.

I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.
Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something.
So that’s my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.
Make your mistakes, next year and forever. Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, Do it.
And this is how you will find your peace and joy inside yourself.
Help others as well to follow their dreams and find their own peace and joy by little

May your coming year be filled with joy, magic, dreams and good madness!
I hope you will have a wonderful year, that you’ll dream dangerously and outrageously, that you’ll make something that didn’t exist before you made it, that you will be loved and that you will be liked, and that you will have people to love and to like in return.
And, most importantly (because I think there should be more kindness and more wisdom in the world right now), that you will, when you need to be, be wise, and that you will always be kind.
And have lots of fun, joy and happiness!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with love around you! You had all your family members gathered, had great meals and fabulous conversations… But the Holiday Season is not over yet! Get prepared for the New Year’s celebrations!
Did you know that…
It was only relatively recently that 1 January again became the first day of the year in Western culture.
Until 1751 in England and Wales (and all British dominions) the new year started on 25 March – Lady Day, one of the four quarter days (the change to 1 January took place in 1600 in Scotland).
Since then, 1 January has been the first day of the year.
During the Middle Ages several other days were variously taken as the beginning of the calendar year (1 March, 25 March, Easter, 1 September, 25 December).
In many countries, such as the Czech Republic, Italy and the UK, 1 January is a national holiday.

Merry Christmas to you all, my dear friends!
The Tradition of Christmas festival has gradually evolved from times that long represented the Christian period.
All the traditions and customs performed on this day are only the extension of Roman Pagan to Christian ceremonial.
The tradition of Christmas include the 12 days of Christmas, the bright fires, the yule log, the giving of gifts, carols, the feasts, and the church processions, can all be traced back to the early times.
With the passage of time, the nature of Christmas celebration has undergone tremendous change and every year a new tradition begins.
Christmas, celebrated to remember and honor the birth of holy Jesus, has evolved from a staunch religious affair into a merry hearted event that include carnivals, cookies and of course Santa Clause and his reindeer.

Merry Christmas to you all, my dear friends!
Colored lights decorate many town centres and shops, along with shiny decorations, and artificial snow painted on shop windows. During the season people take the time to enjoy the city or town when it’s all decorated.
No matter which part of the world you are in, the tradition of Christmas blossoms with fun and celebration and carries along with it faith, hope and love.
Celebrating Christmas has nothing to do with spending a lot of money and having elaborate parties. The biggest celebrations are the most personal ones spent with people whose company we love. A simple thing as watching a beautiful Christmas movie with a special someone can be all it takes.
Or maybe share a home cooked meal with friends in front of the decorated Christmas tree.
If you want to give a personal homemade gift to someone, still there is time to make this quick project.

“Oh holy night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Saviour’s birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
Till He appear’d and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn…”
O Holy Night (Cantique de Noel) was written by Adolphe Adam in 1847 to “Minuit, chretiens” by Placide Cappeau (1808-1877), an amateur French poet. This Christmas favorite that recalls the birth of Jesus, has become a standard carol for solo performance.
As an interesting fact, it seems that O Holy Night is the first piece of music to ever have been broadcast on the radio. It was on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1906, that Reginald Fessenden, a Canadian inventor, broadcast the first AM radio program, that included himself playing “O Holy Night” on the violin.
While decorating the Christmas tree, still there is time for a quick homemade Christmas gift project.

Have you ever looked at a snowflake and wondered how it formed or why it looks different from other snow you might have seen?
You may have heard that no two snowflakes are alike, but did you know snowflakes can have one of about 35 different shapes!
Several factors affect snowflake formation. Temperature, air currents, and humidity all influence shape and size. Dirt and dust particles can get mixed up in the water and affect crystal weight and durability.
What are the common snowflake shapes?
Generally, six-sided hexagonal crystals are shaped in high clouds; needles or flat six-sided crystals are shaped in middle height clouds; and a wide variety of six-sided shapes are formed in low clouds.
Colder temperatures produce snowflakes with sharper tips on the sides of the crystals and may lead to branching of the snowflake arms (dendrites). Snowflakes that grow under warmer conditions grow more slowly, resulting in smoother, less intricate shapes.
What a beauty! And what an excellent holiday season gift idea! Prepare a stunning Hexagonal Snowflake Gift Box, fill it with
